Reflection and planning for life shifts

Conversations for change

Coaching-informed reflection and planning sessions can be especially helpful during times of transition, when life feels uncertain, a new phase is beginning, or you want to move through change with greater clarity and confidence.

Sessions offer structured space to reflect, explore what matters most, and consider possible next steps, with guidance where needed.

I’ve completed accredited training in Cognitive Behavioural Coaching, Health & Wellbeing Coaching, and Performance Coaching (all recognised by the Association for Coaching and British Psychological Society).

I also draw on my professional experience as a strategic planning consultant and journalist where I often facilitated sessions and interviews to explore issues, develop insights and options, and inform change.

I bring a thoughtful approach to sessions that draws on reflective listening, strength-based support and strategic thinking.

Conversations provide a space to process, as well as the chance to explore possible ways forward.

I often work with people going through life shifts that affect where or how they live, particularly people adapting to a new phase, whether by choice or circumstance.

“Thank you Tessa for such a warm and informative session that exceeded all my expectations. Your thoughtful and considered questions not only helped to clarify my thoughts, direction and needs; you also helped me walk away from the session with clear and actionable next steps. This is exactly what I needed at this time. Thank you for helping me to get to this point. Really appreciated your input and time taken to really listen and understand my goals.” (Sophia)

How it works

These conversations are calm and collaborative. They offer time to explore thoughts, priorities and patterns, with a view to moving forward in a way that feels considered, clear and sustainable.

Sessions might involve identifying what’s getting in the way, shifting perspective, exploring next steps, or simply creating a space to think and be heard.

I sometimes offer observations or ideas where helpful, though the pace and focus is always guided by you.

This approach is coaching-informed but not prescriptive. It’s flexible, human and designed to support clarity, confidence and momentum – particularly during periods of home or life transition.

“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”
— Søren Kierkegaard (1843)

Booking and practicalities

Book an initial chat here. 45-minutes to reflect, explore, and clarify next steps.

After that, you can opt for a package of three guidance sessions or a single session. Find out more in this blog.

Sessions take place via phone or video call unless otherwise agreed. In-person sessions may be possible depending on location and travel.

While a single session can be useful, this kind of support often works best as a short-term process over three or more sessions, allowing space for reflection and taking action between our meetings.

Fortnightly (or twice a month) sessions tend to work well to keep momentum while also allowing time for you to implement agreed actions.

Weekly, every three weeks and monthly can also be effective, as can ad hoc sessions when you feel you would benefit from them.
