Mindful Hatha Yoga for Wellbeing

Want to move, breathe and improve balance in body and mind this autumn? This mindful hatha yoga course supports calm, strength and wellbeing through steady movement and guided relaxation.

Seeions currently run at the beautiful and calm Studio 366 in West Molesey:

  • Sundays 9.30 to 10.45am at Studio 366, 366 Walton Road, West Molesey KT8 2JE
  • Long Ditton classes will now start in late February 2026.

I’m also running some special Welcoming Winter (21 December) and New Year (4 & 11 January) yoga sessions.

What to expect

These sessions combine mindful movement, gentle strength-building and stillness. We move with awareness, using the breath to guide each posture and to help balance the body and mind.

Each week explores a different aspect of wellbeing. The classes take inspiration from the chakra system as a way of understanding the links between physical, emotional and mental health. You do not need to know anything about chakras to take part. The focus is on how you feel in the moment and what supports you best.

You can expect to:

  • Build strength, balance and suppleness at your own pace
  • Release tension and ease the nervous system
  • Improve body awareness and posture
  • Finish with a guided relaxation for deep rest and integration.

Mats, blankets, blocks, straps and bolsters are provided, although please do let me know when booking if you prefer to bring any of your own equipment.

The practice

Hatha yoga offers a slower and more reflective approach that helps calm the body and mind. Poses are held for a few breaths to create space and stability. You will also experience some Yin yoga poses to encourage softness and release.

Classes are suitable for all levels, including beginners. You will need to be able to lie on your back, sit on the floor, come onto hands and knees, stand, and lunge. We move through a variety of postures such as forward bends, back bends, twists, side bends, standing and seated poses, all at a steady and mindful pace – with a focus on safe practice, rather than pushing too far, too fast.

Booking and investment

  • £75 for six-week block (£12.50 per class)
  • £65 for six-week block at the friend rate (for two friends booking together or those repeating the course)
