I set up this service, first and foremost, to support reflection and planning for life transitions. Through coaching-informed conversations and light-touch practical support, I can help explore your options to improve clarity and confidence.
Whether you’re considering moving, actively planning a move, or wondering if staying put is best, my aim is to support your wellbeing and long-term happiness.
Why coaching helps with moving decisions and life transitions
A move is rarely just a logistical process. It’s often a reflection of deeper life transitions, such as changes in family, relationships, health or work. Many people feel pressured to make quick decisions or avoid decisions altogether, which can leave them feeling overwhelmed or stuck.
Coaching provides a safe, supportive space to pause, reflect and explore your feelings and priorities. Coaching facilitates your own decision-making process in a supportive way, helping you gain clarity and confidence about what feels right for you. While I can offer expertise, guidance and practical support, the decisions are ultimately yours to make, so you stay in control of your journey.
How coaching and practical support work together
My services are designed around working with you in a way that is light touch yet makes a big impact. The aim is to keep you moving forward in life, whether in your home, your mind or your body, while keeping the service flexible and accessible. I don’t physically carry out moves. I work with you to enable the process in the right way for you.
I offer:
- Coaching-informed conversations to understand your needs, values and options, prioritise your goals, and clarify next steps.
- Relocation guidance, including information about local areas, considering the logistics of a move, and enabling you to evaluate options you have found yourself. I can also facilitate a smooth settling-in process.
- Moving home support, whether you’re renting, buying or moving to specialist housing, including guidance, area and property research for your criteria, arranging and sometimes accompanying viewings, and liaising with third parties such as estate agents or solicitors.
- Flexible and tailored to your needs, whether you prefer a one-off conversation, practical facilitation, or ongoing guidance through a life transition.
- An independent, person-first approach. My focus is always on enabling you to make well-informed choices with confidence. You remain the decision maker throughout.
- Optional wellbeing services to facilitate change in a holistic way, such as yoga, relaxation techniques, or reflective writing.
About me
I bring a unique combination of skills and experience to this work. I’m a coaching-informed home finder, a hatha yoga teacher and a writer.
My background includes working in strategic planning consultancy with local and regional government to improve services and places, writing healthcare journalism and research on cultural history, governance and place, and co-founding a small residential property business to provide excellent customer service and influence positive sector change.
This broad experience helps me understand the practical and emotional complexities of moving home and facing life transitions, so I can support you with care, knowledge and insight.
